Working Principle Description
Pressure swing adsorption (PSA technology for short): it is an advanced gas separation technology. Based on the physical adsorption of gas molecules on the internal surface of adsorbent (porous solid material), the gas separation is realized by using the characteristics of different adsorption capacity of adsorbent for different gases under a certain pressure.
Carbon molecular sieve is an adsorbent for separating oxygen and nitrogen and extracting nitrogen from air. As shown in the figure, at the same adsorption pressure, the adsorption capacity of carbon molecular sieve for oxygen is much higher than that of nitrogen.
