1. Working Principle Description:

The VPSA (Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption) oxygen generator produces oxygen through the following process:

 

Compressed Air Intake: Ambient air is drawn in and compressed using a compressor, increasing its pressure and concentration.

 

Inlet Pretreatment: The compressed air undergoes pretreatment, including cooling and dehumidification, to remove moisture and impurities. This step enhances the efficiency and stability of the subsequent adsorption process.

 

Adsorption Stage: The pretreated compressed air enters the adsorber, which contains adsorbent material such as molecular sieves or zeolites. In this stage, the adsorbent selectively adsorbs nitrogen while allowing oxygen to pass through.

 

Adsorber Regeneration: When the adsorber reaches a certain level of adsorption saturation, regeneration is required. This process involves two key steps: pressure equalization and desorption. First, pressure equalization balances the pressure of the adsorber with the system, followed by reducing the pressure within the bed to release the adsorbed nitrogen and achieve regeneration.

 

Bed Switching: Once regeneration is complete in one adsorber, the system switches the inlet flow to the other adsorber. This allows one adsorber to perform the adsorption stage while the other undergoes regeneration. By cyclically switching between the beds, continuous oxygen production is achieved.

 

By repeating these steps in a continuous cycle, the VPSA oxygen generator extracts high-purity oxygen from the air. Control systems monitor and adjust parameters to ensure process stability and efficiency.

Adsorbent Regeneration: To maintain the adsorption capacity of the adsorbent, VPSA oxygen generators perform adsorbent regeneration. The regeneration process typically involves reducing the pressure or applying a vacuum to release the adsorbed impurity gases from the adsorption bed. Through proper purging gas, the released impurity gases are expelled from the adsorption bed, restoring the adsorbent to the adsorption state for the next adsorption cycle.

 

Cycle Control and Optimization: VPSA oxygen generators employ an automated control system to monitor and control key parameters such as pressure, flow rate, and temperature during each stage. Through precise cycle control and optimization algorithms, the system can dynamically adjust the operating conditions of the adsorption, desorption, and regeneration stages to maximize the purity of the produced oxygen.

 

Impurity Exhaust and Oxygen Collection: In VPSA oxygen generators, impurity gases are effectively exhausted from the system through appropriate design and piping configuration to ensure the purity of the produced oxygen. Meanwhile, the high-purity oxygen is collected and stored to supply specific high-purity application needs.
