Working Principle Description:

Adsorption Phase:

Compressed air, containing nitrogen (N2) and oxygen (O2), is introduced into one adsorption tower at high pressure.

The specialized adsorbent material, such as carbon molecular sieves (CMS), present in the adsorption tower selectively adsorbs the oxygen molecules, allowing the nitrogen molecules to pass through.

The nitrogen-enriched gas, depleted in oxygen, exits the adsorption tower and is collected as the desired product.

 

Regeneration Phase:

While one adsorption tower is in the adsorption phase, the other tower undergoes regeneration.

The pressure in the regeneration tower is reduced, which releases the adsorbed oxygen molecules from the adsorbent material (CMS).

The released oxygen is discharged from the system, while the adsorbent material is prepared for the next adsorption cycle.

 

Switching Cycles:

After a certain period, the roles of the adsorption and regeneration towers are reversed to maintain a continuous nitrogen supply.

The flow of compressed air is switched to the regenerated tower, while the previously adsorbing tower enters the regeneration phase.

This cyclic process allows for uninterrupted nitrogen production.
