Working Principle Description:
Compressed Air Supply: The nitrogen generator relies on an external compressed air system to provide the air source. The compressed air undergoes pre-treatment, such as moisture and impurity removal, to ensure the effectiveness and stability of the subsequent separation process.
Adsorption Stage: The compressed air enters the adsorber within the nitrogen generator. The adsorber is filled with a special adsorbent material, typically carbon molecular sieves, which selectively adsorb oxygen molecules while allowing nitrogen molecules to pass through. During the adsorption stage, the oxygen is adsorbed onto the surface of the adsorbent, while nitrogen flows through and exits the adsorber.
Desorption Stage: Once the adsorber becomes saturated with adsorbed oxygen, it needs to undergo desorption to regenerate the adsorbent. This is achieved by reducing the pressure in the adsorber or by purging a portion of the adsorbent gas to decrease the gas concentration within the adsorbent. This allows the adsorbent to release the adsorbed oxygen and restore its adsorption capacity.
Purge Stage: After desorption, the nitrogen generator switches to the purge stage. At this point, the compressed air is directed to the other adsorber while the previous adsorber undergoes regeneration. By cycling and alternating between the adsorbers, the nitrogen generator can continuously produce high-purity nitrogen.
