Working Principle Description:
Pressure swing adsorption nitrogen generator is an automatic equipment that uses carbon molecular sieve as adsorbent and uses the principle of pressure adsorption, pressure reduction and desorption to adsorb and release oxygen from the air, so as to separate nitrogen. Carbon molecular sieve is a cylindrical granular adsorbent with micropores on the surface and inside. It is black. The pore size distribution characteristics of carbon molecular sieve enable it to realize the dynamic separation of O2 and N2. Such pore size distribution can make different gases diffuse into the micropores of molecular sieve at different rates without excluding any gas in the mixture (air).
The separation effect of carbon molecular sieve on O2 and N2 is based on the small difference in the kinetic diameter of the two gases. The kinetic diameter of O2 molecule is small, so there is a faster diffusion rate in the micropores of carbon molecular sieve, and the kinetic diameter of N2 molecule is large, so the diffusion rate is slow. The diffusion of water and CO2 in compressed air is similar to that of oxygen, while the diffusion of argon is slow. Finally, the mixture of N2 and AR is enriched from the adsorption tower.
The increase of adsorption pressure can increase the adsorption capacity of O2 and N2 at the same time, and the increase range of O2 adsorption capacity is larger. The PSA cycle is short, and the adsorption capacity of O2 and N2 is far from reaching equilibrium (maximum). Therefore, the difference in the diffusion rate of O2 and N2 makes the adsorption capacity of O2 greatly exceed that of N2 in a short time.
Pressure swing adsorption nitrogen production uses the selective adsorption characteristics of carbon molecular sieve and adopts the cycle of pressurized adsorption and decompression desorption. The pressure swing adsorption nitrogen generator makes the compressed air enter the adsorption tower alternately (or single tower) to realize air separation, so as to continuously produce high-purity product nitrogen.
