Working Principle Description:

  1. Adsorption: Compressed air is directed into a vessel containing a bed of molecular sieves. These sieves have a high affinity for oxygen and other impurities, allowing nitrogen to pass through while adsorbing other gases.
  2. Selective Adsorption: Oxygen and trace gases are preferentially adsorbed by the molecular sieves, leaving a purified nitrogen stream to exit the vessel.
  3. Desorption: When the molecular sieves become saturated with adsorbed gases, the pressure is reduced, causing the trapped gases to desorb and be vented out of the system.
  4. Nitrogen Production: The purified nitrogen is collected and can be stored or used directly. By cyclically pressurizing and depressurizing the molecular sieve beds, a continuous supply of high-purity nitrogen is generated.
